Concordia University - Gangelhoff Center
Opened in 1993, the Gangelhoff Center, home of the Concordia University Golden Bears, is one of the busiest venues in the Twin Cities. The home court for the volleyball and basketball teams, Gangelhoff Center has 1,500 permanent seats but can expand its capacity to handle approximately 4,000 fans for an event.
The $5 million, 45,000 square foot arena features four full basketball courts (two hardwood, two clay), a 200 meter indoor track, racquetball courts, a strength & conditioning room, batting cages and the ability to be used for tennis and indoor soccer.
Additionally, many of Concordia's athletics offices and kinesiology professor offices are located on the arena's second floor, along with public restrooms, concession stand, a classroom and large common area that overlooks the floor.
On the first floor, the large lobby contains the ticket booth, while four main locker rooms, a full athletic training room and two officials locker rooms all reside along with a additional office space.
